Spending time with Grandma Tracy

Yesterday we had an awesome time hanging out with Grandma Tracy here in Phoenix. She came down for some training, and we had a great time!! We first went out for pizza, then to the mall to hang out, then to Pappadeauxs for dinner. Pappadeauxs is Cajun, and it was awesome!!!!! YUM YUM!

She left today, but it was great to hang out with someone familiar while it lasted. We look forward to getting back to Utah and hanging out with our awesome cousins, family, and friends.

Livin' Life in the Hotlands

So, we are beginning our fourth week here in Phoenix. Last week I really had a hard time, missing my home, soft bed, family, friends, precious dogs, chickens in Southern Utah. This week I will have to try harder to look at the bright sides of things here: we just have to tidy up here so maids can clean on Tuesdays, the hotel staff are really nice to us, we have made friends at church, the pool is a lot of fun, and we have the opportunity to grow closer as a family. We have had a blast in the pool, they have a picnic for everyone at the grill every Wednesday, we don't have to pay for gas, electricity, water, toilet paper, paper towels, or laundry. I don't have to wash sheets, towels, or puppy blankets. I don't have to say, "PLEASE PUT THE GATE BACK!" in order to keep the dogs out of the hallways and our bedrooms. (Unfortunately for her foster family, we have found out that Cookie Dough is the culprit of most accidents, because the other dogs are doing fine.)

Anyway, this week I will do everything I can to be in good spirits. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT!

My biggest concern is Mayzie. I plan to sell Mayzie, spaying her first. It makes my heart ache to downsize dogs, but I know it is for the best. Her and Brandon don't like each other, and  I feel it will help make my husband feel better to have less dogs than kids. The market is saturated, prices on doggies has dropped, and I have helped put some pups in the hands of folks that love them so I am happy. I am okay to not breed dogs anymore. I will probably breed Cookie Dough once and then be done. It was a great run.

Anyway, this week we get to see Brandon's Mom on Wednesday and Saturday we are heading to Wet n Wild. The hotel gave us free tickets to Wet Wet n Wild cuz of a leaky sink. What a great blessing!!!
